so no one from 5000 bce to 1 bce qualifies.

Now if the "annoited ones" started to be chosen after Christ was born/death fine let's say 33 AD. So no one from 5000 BCE to 1 BCE qualifies. Fine.

So that leave us 1,914 years to come up with 144,000 "annoited ones".
That works out to be approx. 8 (little less) people a year for 1,914 years.
That's 8 people a year on the ENTIRE PLANET.(China, USA, Canada, Europe, Africa, South America etc etc etc COMBINED!!!)
They claim there is still over 8,000 annoited ones living ???
At 8 people a year for a 100 years (generously) that only 800 people.
The numbers no matter how you turn them just don't make sense, like everything else they teach.
Talk about a load of BS.
This is why I think they will introduce another "heavenly class" SOON!
Any comments ........ I know the number 1 answer JW's will give .....
"Oh, there wasn't much info available from 200 AD til 1878 AD , so there was probaly no "annoited ones" from this time period."

by run dont walk ini was at the hospital the other day in the waiting room for about 2 hours with a friend, and i noticed only one awake magazine from 2000 in the pile of reading material.. i always thought that the watchtower was trying to "preach the good news to all the inhabited earth before the end comes".
well , they don't like the internet, which is the # 1 way to inform people, you cannot get a subscription anymore unless someone at the hall does it for you or you are still attending, probaly why i didn't see any at the hospital, or lawyers office, or doctor's office etc etc etc.. it seems to me that they are trying to limit what info gets out to the outside world, is this not contradicting all they have preached the last 50 years.. no subscriptions for anyone who might want one ?????????.
no new books, for anyone who is not a jw.. what do you think ????????.

What will the future generations of JW's be like ? will there be any ?

let's face it the young generation of jw's are getting smaller and smaller, and very few "new ones" coming into the fold.. what will the watchtower's tactics be, to keep this farce going another 100 years let alone 10 years ???.

Too many people going online these days just to browse around. There will be many just looking for actual JW site and will come across information they never knew existed.

New Girl on the block

Did anything a householder said ever make an impression on you?
by Alleymom incoming at this as a householder rather than an ex-jw, i'd love to hear from any of you about comments from householders that made an impression on you, back when you were active in the door-to-door work.
since the jw's first knocked at my door 13 years ago, i've done my best to give them something to think about every time they knock at my door.
i always introduce myself by name and try to get their names.

I was maybe 12 at the time, I remember going to a door with someone and the householder said "you didn't learn from 1975 did you ?", I never really knew what the person meant, but I look back now, where was the internet back then.

Do you really think ? EARTH could be blown up ??? is there enough bombs ???
by run dont walk ini remember reading many watchtower/awake magazines that stated "there is enough bombs on this planet to blow it up 7 times over.
" (wish i had copies of the quotes/and pictures).. and after watching the scenes in terminator 3 of the earth being desolated by machines.. and after watching the war in afghanistan and iraq and seeing how many bombs the us used in these "small countries" with unreal precision.
i really doubt if it possible to destroy the whole planet, even if they wanted to.

I liked it but, they found John Connor way too fast, story plot could of been better, you can tell Cameron didn't do this one. Could of had more action for the female terminator, I liked the part where she controls the cars, they could of done a lot more through the movie. It was GOOD, not Great, I liked T2 more. Arno was great as usual, could of had more of a story regarding the future and more action as the machines take over, but I guess that will be for T4 if they do another.
